Although it is often possible to resurface driveways and patios separately, why not tackle both projects at the same time? This was the rationale expressed by a client in Watford. We were recently contacted in order to assess what type of solution would be the most viable. After a transparent discussion, we felt that block paving stones would provide the property with a personalised sense of beauty.

Block paving stones are popular for several reasons. Perhaps the most well-known advantage is the fact that they can be laid out in several unique patterns. In this case, we chose a herringbone configuration. Herringbone patterns provide a sense of visual depth; a feature difficult to achieve with other materials such as tarmac. The wraparound nature of this driveway-patio combination also offered a sense of uniformity; helping to tie the entire front garden together with one straightforward project.
